Avowed "Vanilla Haters" often love this oil! (Right, Lori?) Seductive, heady, intoxicating, and amazing. Vanilla with a secret...base notes of vanilla and orchid flower, with a subtle drydown of ambered musk. This version has unbelievable throw in candles, even an unlit candle will send fingers of scent out to tickle your nose as you pass by it. (Customers notice this too!) It makes great soap and toiletry items! Try this in incense for a top seller! We had ours made directly from the perfume so you know it smells authentic! This is one of the strongest versions you will find. Do you make roll-on perfumes or lotions? Vanilla Lace will scent your skin as strongly and for as long as a perfume, you might need to adjust your usage accordingly.

All About IFRA

We have IFRA on all fragrance oils and flavor oils on our website.

What do the maximum levels mean? Let's use Almond Paradise as an example. The IFRA guidelines on this state that there are no restrictions for soaps, shampoos, lotions, etc. So does that mean you can use 100% in your product? No. That would mean your product consists of straight fragrance oil.

The IFRA states the *max* that can be used, not the recommended amount. It is the responsibility of the maker to do their research to see what the recommended usage rate of fragrance oil for their particular recipe is.

For soap, as a general rule of thumb you will use up to 5% of fragrance oil in Cold Process (CP) soap and up to 3% in Melt and Pour (M&P) soap.

So, if you see a fragrance oil and the IFRA says 23% for soap, don't use 23%. IFRA is important when it comes to lower numbers. There are a few fragrance oils that have max usage rates that are less than the percentages shown above. In that case, you can only use the max shown for the oil.

"I rec'd my order with 16 oz Vanilla Lace and it says "temporary packaging". What does that mean? I always keep it in a dark place...or is it the plastic?thanks. DENNIS "

COMMENTS: If I could give this scent more stars I would. I use this in wax melts and the melter doesn't even have to be on to smell it. Beautiful scent. Great for body sprays also. Smells just like the original VS scent, maybe even better.

COMMENTS: I definitely have a love hate relationship with this fragrance. In Perfumes, it is fantastic. In CP soap it is a nightmare. When I ordered I dis see the note about ricing, but generally when I have had a fragrance rice on me before I was able to stick blend it smooth. This fragrance appeared to rice immediately, but it actually caused my soap batter to separate, and I had to toss the entire 4# batch. I will reorder this for use in other products, but definitely do not recommend for CP soap. Advantages: Smells wonderful! Disadvantages: Causes separation and ricing in CP soap.
