Additional Information
(Lisa's comments) "This reminds me of an Ozark forest with a great blend of cedar, pine and fir and I just love this rascal. We are in the heart of Ozark land and I've smelled the forest, this is it. Now think of a great soap for men and or a pine tar soap? Men love this as much as they love our Madagascar Spice! This fragrance is sure to please. The throw in Bluegrass soy is remarkable. Incredible mixed with Lemon Slices!"

When anyone asks for a recommendation for a great Holiday fragrance that will also sell well throughout the rest of the year, this is what we turn to again and again. Simply a great scent any way you sniff it!

All About IFRA

We have IFRA on all fragrance oils and flavor oils on our website.

What do the maximum levels mean? Let's use Almond Paradise as an example. The IFRA guidelines on this state that there are no restrictions for soaps, shampoos, lotions, etc. So does that mean you can use 100% in your product? No. That would mean your product consists of straight fragrance oil.

The IFRA states the *max* that can be used, not the recommended amount. It is the responsibility of the maker to do their research to see what the recommended usage rate of fragrance oil for their particular recipe is.

For soap, as a general rule of thumb you will use up to 5% of fragrance oil in Cold Process (CP) soap and up to 3% in Melt and Pour (M&P) soap.

So, if you see a fragrance oil and the IFRA says 23% for soap, don't use 23%. IFRA is important when it comes to lower numbers. There are a few fragrance oils that have max usage rates that are less than the percentages shown above. In that case, you can only use the max shown for the oil.

"not impressed"
COMMENTS:  I just don't like how it smells. It reminds me of cheap cologne. And it's just SO strong... the smell has taken over my soap room and every time I walk in there my eyes start watering. I had my boyfriend smell it and he didn't like it either.

"This is more like a perfu..."
COMMENTS:  This is more like a perfumey woodland...meaning I can smell much more than just woodsy. The woodsy is almost secondary and that's why I can use this one all year round. I have not tested it in CP soap yet, but use it in other applications. Advantages: Makes a nice room spray and scrub.

"One of my all time favori..."
COMMENTS:  One of my all time favorites for men. Instantly became a year round scent for us in HP soap. If you want a realistic complex pine for skin that isn't overwhelming or artificial, this one is for you. Advantages: Realistic, complex, appealing scent in the shower that lingers slightly on the skin. The mild discoloration is easily covered with green mica.
