Once called the "gold of the Incas," Lucuma is a fruit native to Peru. Our Lucuma oil has a definite fruity, sweet, creamy scent. Apples, pears, mangoes, and pineapples with notes of maple syrup and jasmine and a dry down of caramel and sweet musk. Unique and intriguing, this is a scent that will have everyone guessing what it is supposed to be.

Directions: All About IFRA
We have IFRA on all fragrance oils and flavor oils on our website.
What do the maximum levels mean? Let's use Almond Paradise as an example. The IFRA guidelines on this state that there are no restrictions for soaps, shampoos, lotions, etc. So does that mean you can use 100% in your product? No. That would mean your product consists of straight fragrance oil.
The IFRA states the *max* that can be used, not the recommended amount. It is the responsibility of the maker to do their research to see what the recommended usage rate of fragrance oil for their particular recipe is.
For soap, as a general rule of thumb you will use up to 5% of fragrance oil in Cold Process (CP) soap and up to 3% in Melt and Pour (M&P) soap.
So, if you see a fragrance oil and the IFRA says 23% for soap, don't use 23%. IFRA is important when it comes to lower numbers. There are a few fragrance oils that have max usage rates that are less than the percentages shown above. In that case, you can only use the max shown for the oil.

COMMENTS: So I’ll first say that this scent smells very very nice. Fresh fruity and floral and some warm undertones. This scent behaves very badly though. I was this close—><— to having soap on a stick. It riced pretty bad first and then accelerated VERY quickly. If you choose to use this I would hand mix it and Add at emulsification. Increasing your super fat would help as well. If you go in prepared then you may be able to manage but just know that this one is a beast.

"Get it!"
COMMENTS: This scent smells so good, even if you don't use it in soap, you will want to put it in something! It smells like the best application would be shampoo and conditioner to me, although I'm sure lotions would also be amazing. In my test results in cp soap, I had no ricing (I did use a much smaller quantity than in full batch), no acceleration, and it discolored to a bright yellow, not sure if it will darken more over time. It smells so yummy though, it's definitely worth trying.

"This fragrance oil smells..."
COMMENTS: This fragrance oil smells AMAZING!! I am in love with it. Used it in CP soap. Another reviewer mentioned ricing. I experienced mild ricing, but it blended out without any issues. Will definitely order this fragrance again. Advantages: Smells FANTASTIC! Disadvantages: Mild ricing in CP soap

"This fragrance smells ama..."
COMMENTS: This fragrance smells amazing. It's a beautiful fruity smell with some floral undertones that makes it just decadent. I used it in cold process soap, soaping at about 100. It riced pretty badly (really big clumps). I was able to blend it out but that brought my mixture to a really thick trace. As long as you prepare for ricing, you'll be fine. I definitely recommend it and I'll be using it again and again. rices
