We have IFRA on all fragrance oils and flavor oils on our website.
What do the maximum levels mean? Let's use Almond Paradise as an example. The IFRA guidelines on this state that there are no restrictions for soaps, shampoos, lotions, etc. So does that mean you can use 100% in your product? No. That would mean your product consists of straight fragrance oil.
The IFRA states the *max* that can be used, not the recommended amount. It is the responsibility of the maker to do their research to see what the recommended usage rate of fragrance oil for their particular recipe is.
For soap, as a general rule of thumb you will use up to 5% of fragrance oil in Cold Process (CP) soap and up to 3% in Melt and Pour (M&P) soap.
So, if you see a fragrance oil and the IFRA says 23% for soap, don't use 23%. IFRA is important when it comes to lower numbers. There are a few fragrance oils that have max usage rates that are less than the percentages shown above. In that case, you can only use the max shown for the oil.

COMMENTS: The scent is fantastic. I discovered, quite by accident, that in white MP the color will change to ivory over a matter of weeks (roughly 2-3). I hope it stops at ivory and doesn't go to brown or I have a lot of trashed soaps now.

"Holy Soap on A Stick, Batman!"
COMMENTS: Smells great, but we went from stirring with a spatula to stuck in the container in no time! Wowza. Would not recommend for CP soap at all.

COMMENTS: I love Rustic Escentuals--my #1 go to...BUT this fragrance oil is awful. I know that rose scents are notorious for acceleration but this is without a doubt the worse seize I've experienced in my 6 years of making soap. It was literally a waste of 40oz of oils. It may be excellent for candles and other applications but for cold process soap I do not recommend it.

COMMENTS: I love roses and I tested many fragrances by quite a few suppliers, but this one is absolutely divine! Not fake or perfumery. I got the sample, but I’m buying the big bottle with my next order. It smells like new blossoms right after the rain. I made candles with it using 464 soy wax and the throw is super strong! I also carry a small bottle in my purse and use it aa perfume, people stop me and ask what I’m wearing. I’m yet to make a soap with it. This would be the rose I will always purchase. Please do not discontinue! Advantages: Strong throw in candles, authentic fresh rose aroma, not fake or perfumery. Disadvantages: None

Only issue I had, intense acceleration as soon as I added the fragrance. I was barely able to get it into the mold. Used cold process soap method at lower temp. May try to soap a bit warmer.

COMMENTS: I honestly can’t believe how accurately authentic this scent is without being an essential oil in absolute form. It is premium quality and is super popular! I definitely misunderstood my initial customer base in ordering a lot of trendy scents because these authentic florals from RE are getting it done for me! "With only one exception, ..."
COMMENTS: With only one exception, and she told me after she smelled it that she simply doesn't like rose scents, every potential customer who smells my HP soap scented with Fresh Cut Roses, is blown away by the authenticity of the scent.
I'll be honest, I ordered it because I needed to eventually have another rose scented soap in my inventory, but left the bottle unopened for 6months before I finally made a HP Goat's Milk soap from it. Now I struggle to stay ahead of demand!
Advantages: Clean, authentic rose smell. It smells like roses used to before all of the hybridization!! Disadvantages: None.

COMMENTS: In another review somebody said that this fragrance was too strong, but I had a different experience. I used this in cold process soap and in body butter. It smells absolutely beautiful in the bottle but after adding it to my products I feel that the fragrance is too mild. Advantages: Smells wonderful, just like roses. Disadvantages: Not a strong fragrance in cold process soap.
