Awapuhi (Zingiber zerumbet) is a tropical plant in the ginger family known for its fresh aroma and prized when used in herbal medicines and food flavorings. To celebrate awapuhi, we've blended it with sparkling sea spray, casaba melon, plantains, exotic dark berries, evening primrose, soft vanilla, petals of night blooming jasmine, and a base of musk.

Directions: All About IFRA
We have IFRA on all fragrance oils and flavor oils on our website.
What do the maximum levels mean? Let's use Almond Paradise as an example. The IFRA guidelines on this state that there are no restrictions for soaps, shampoos, lotions, etc. So does that mean you can use 100% in your product? No. That would mean your product consists of straight fragrance oil.
The IFRA states the *max* that can be used, not the recommended amount. It is the responsibility of the maker to do their research to see what the recommended usage rate of fragrance oil for their particular recipe is.
For soap, as a general rule of thumb you will use up to 5% of fragrance oil in Cold Process (CP) soap and up to 3% in Melt and Pour (M&P) soap.
So, if you see a fragrance oil and the IFRA says 23% for soap, don't use 23%. IFRA is important when it comes to lower numbers. There are a few fragrance oils that have max usage rates that are less than the percentages shown above. In that case, you can only use the max shown for the oil.

COMMENTS: Well, this was my free sample and had to try it in some tarts after opening that little bottle! Another WOW scent of fresh with a little hint of berry! Going to order a big bottle today! Love this scent also! I'm sure it will be another favorite! Advantages: Strong but soft. More clean scent than fruity. Used in wax tarts and they smell wonderful and relaxing cold. Haven't warmed any yet. I was very surprised by this sample and another favorite! Disadvantages: So far with me...none

"OOB awapuhi seaberry is a..."
COMMENTS: OOB awapuhi seaberry is a nice fruity scent. It weakens in CP soap, and after a couple weeks of curing, it is even lighter. The scent also seemed to morph into a more chemically tone. There are other scents I like much better, so I will use the rest of what I've got in bath bombs, and go with the many other fruit-ish scents I like better. Advantages: nice OOB scent
behaves well enough in CP soap Disadvantages: Scent weakens, morphs a bit, and fades in CP soap

"This fragrance doesn't re..."
COMMENTS: This fragrance doesn't remind me a bit or the Paul Mitchell shampoo, but it really smells amazing. Hard to describe, it reminds me of what a high-end fragrance counter on the beach would smell like. There will be more of this in my future. Advantages: Easy to work with; well behaved, no acceleration, no discoloration in CP.

"This scent is complex and..."
COMMENTS: This scent is complex and hard to describe, slightly fruity and floral. Mixture of melon, tropic and rhubarb. Smells like the high end Paul Mitchell shampoo but not in a soapy way. I like that it's sweet and fruity but also subtle. Could blend well with citrus or sea salt for a spa inspired scent.
