Lip Balm Tints™ are used to tint and color your lip balm. Recommended usage is 5-35 drops per ounce of base, depending upon desired shade. Lip Balm Tints will not add a bold color like what is found in lipstick - these colorants are designed to add a nice hue to the balm itself and does not color the lips. Lip Balm Tints are oil based. Coordinate colors with lip balm flavors and mix colors to create dynamic shades.

COMMENTS: This balm tint is plenty strong, but it has an issue with separation. If I shake up the bottle before using it, I get little beads of clumped Yellow 5 Lake in my mixture that I can't get to disperse. When the lotion bars cool, the beads settle on the surface, which would be pretty startling to rub into your skin (pure yellow smears). To avoid it, I 1.) Don't shake the bottle and just use the slightly-diluted mixture and 2.) Don't pour the very last bit of mixture, as that's where most of the beads settle.
It's a great product for oil-based products, but the separation issues keep it from being convenient.
