Every singe scoop of this scrub will gently remove dead skin cells and dirt, leaving the skin soft, cleansed, and hydrated. Maximum fragrance load of 2%. Gallon size is 8 pounds of base.

Suitable and ideal for dry and/or sensitive skin for all-over the body exfoliation. Full of natural oils and botanicals, the base doesn't skimp on the crushed walnut leaving a perfect consistency - it's not too thick or too thin, it's not tacky, sticky or greasy. Naturally tan in color (color may vary from batch to batch) with a shelf life of 2 years.

COMMENTS: While I do like the texture of the walnut shell in the scrub, I found that this base, while leaving my skin soft, did not have a moisturizing effect, so I still have to apply lotion after my shower. It rinses clean and does not leave any type of oily residue like other scrubs can. This is positive for people who don't want the tub or shower to feel slippery after using a scrub. It does take scent well (I used tangerine essential oil), and just as an FYI it does not foam like a soap, so I use it after washing. Since I like a heavier scrub that leaves a bit of an oil residue so I can forego lotion after using, I added some oils of my own to the scrub base to see if I could get it to be more moisturizing for my skin type. They mixed in well without separating and leave a bit of a very light oil feel after the shower. I only do this as I use it though because I'm not sure how much additive can be used without disturbing the preservative, that information would be great to see in the description. Advantages: Gentle exfoliant Non-greasy No slip Accepts additives easily Retains scent Disadvantages: For those who need to moisturize daily, this scrub won't replace that

COMMENTS: My customers love this. They say it is the best scrub they have ever had. I only make it once a year and they remind me each summer that they want it. Great with mild fragrances. Advantages: Walnut shells are great for the skin/oil control. Disadvantages: Need to tell how much f.o. to use in the description.
