Fragrance Oils
As we continue to introduce new Fragrance Oils to our line, we must discontinue scents that don't sell as quickly. While it is never fun to say goodbye to old favorites, it must be done to save warehouse space. These oils will be available for purchase at deep discounts until the existing stock is gone. If one of your favorite, reliable scents is on the chopping block, please email us - we can arrange to make special purchases for you if you plan to buy in bulk.
**Note: All fragrances are sold by weight, not volume. Fill level of bottles will vary.
None of our Fragrance Oils or Flavor Oils contain Dibutyl Phthalate. Buy with confidence!

Apple Mint Jelly
FES formulation
Did your grandma make this? Mine did! Of course as children we sure wouldn't eat it, but now we are old enough to appreciate it! (Raise your hand if you stuck out your tongue and wrinkled your nose at it!) This is a fabulous favorite from the FES archives! It hasn't been available for sale for about two years now, but we finally brought it in by customer request. We always loved this one from Lisa! It's a perfect balance of apple jelly and mint leaves, not too much of either note. I'm NOT a big mint fan but this one is subtle enough on the mint to really make it a unique, great blend. It especially speaks to you in product, it's one of those that transforms in product to be a better scent than your first impression out of the bottle.

Citron Red Currant
FES formulation
If you are generally a big Red Currant fan, you will love this intense, complex, multi-layered fragrance! This smells expensive! Another oil that we've had a ton of requests for over the last year, and we can surely see why. Man oh man, if you like Red Currant & Thyme, give this one a sniff. (Even if you aren't typically attracted by Red Currant or citrus, try it anyway! Run it by your herbal customers) There isn't an overwhelming citrus note, just a bit of juicy peel that sails alongside the citron without overwhelming it or smelling like fuel. The scent throw in your final candle product is even more complex and deep than the fragrance is out of the bottle. Love this in incense!
CP notes:No Acceleration, slight Tan/Grey Discoloration

Cornflower
Soap-N-Candles formulation
At long last, after a year of reformulating! Cornflowers are some of my favorite wild flowers, they grow wild in huge patches of pink, blue, white, and purple alongside the railroad tracks in the tiny town my grandparents used to live in. My grandma called these "Batchelor Buttons" and I'd pick huge bouquets of them for her as a child. (Don't you know it is the blue ones that smell the best?) This is a devastatingly wonderful Cornflower fragrance, one that does not morph in lotion. CP Notes: No A or D. Scent seems light OOB, but completely blooms once in soap. Slight ricing when FO hit soap batter, but was able to SB smooth easily.

Framboise Citron Cheesecake
FES formulation
When Lisa gave us this oil recently, we HAD to get it! When we were FES customers, this was one of our staple fragrances. Incredibly "in your face" out of the bottle, it's one strong scent, but it matures and develops in wax and soap. This is not a typical "American" cheesecake fragrance, think more like a dessert made with softly ripened country cheese and fresh-picked fruits. No graham cracker notes, it's just something entirely different from the norm. (Try this with just a wee bit of Heavenly Honeysuckle or some Birthday Cake.) If you make bath products like cookies, you gotta try it!
CP notes: no A... fades a little

We simply cannot get our nose out of the bottle on this one! Rich butter cake heavy with brown sugar, layered with walnut-loaded frosting! Frankly we've never smelled anything like this, it's simply incredible! (This is not a black walnut accord). We have already started blending this, try Birthday Cake or Fudge Brownie....

Our fragrance oils are suitable for use in Paraffin wax, Gel wax (Penreco), soy, bath and body products (if noted as body safe), incense, sachets, smelly jellies, lamp bulb rings, potpourri refresher, and more! All of our fragrance oils are premium grade quality from highly respected manufacturers and are 100% pure - never cut or diluted.
What are solids and crystals?
From time to time a fragrance will crystallize or form solids due to extremes in temperature, either on the way to us or on the way to you. Often this is not noticed right away until you see floaties or "glass" in your oil. This happens most often with fruity scents or anything with much Vanilla. These oils are made of a component that must be heated to high temperatures in order to mesh with the other ingredients and occasionally we receive a batch more prone to crystals than others. (It's the vanilla and/or chocolate components that are most often the culprits!) If we receive it this way we will put the oil back into solution but oftentimes the crystals and solids form later. If this happens to your oil (whether it comes from us or another supplier, most oils can do this) there are two methods.
PLEASE WEAR EYE PROTECTION and OVEN MITTS!
The easiest method is to place the oil into an uncapped Boston round glass bottle and zap in the microwave for five seconds at a time, taking it out and replacing the cap & shaking (do not leave the cap on long!), and repeating until the oil and crystals are back in
solution. Do not microwave with the lid on and don't recap the bottle tightly until the oil has cooled.
A slower method is to put the bottle into very hot water and shake it and roll it until the crystals or solids are in solution.
These crystal components are why these oils are so very strong and keep their great cold throw, they are an indication of a high scent oil and occasionally crystallize.
Information for Gel Candle makers:
Most of our scents are Gel Safe! Each and every scent is tested for polarity as well as having an FP > 170°. We use Penreco's recommended testing standards, using both 25% and 75% ratios.
We encourage customers to test ALL fragrance oils for gel as we believe safety is of utmost importance. Listed at the bottom of this page are instructions on testing fragrance oils for polarity. If ever you find any discrepancy in our testing results, please notify us immediately.
Instructions for Testing Fragrance Oils for Polarity
ALL of our fragrance oils are compatible for use with paraffin wax candles, potpourri, sachets, incense, light bulb rings, etc. Please check for individual compatibility with regard to Gel Candles, Bath and Body, and Soy throw.
Gel Safe (Non-polar) fragrances are 100% soluble and can be used with Penreco gel.
